Dr Nora Fuchs, Technical Manager – Nuclear at William Cook Cast Products, said: “Fit For Nuclear encouraged us to take a good look at our business systems and assisted in improving essential aspects of the organisation.
“It was a tough journey that required commitment across the company, but it helped us understand and comply with the specific requirements of the Nuclear industry. The experience and knowledge we gained through the F4N programme will help us expand our role as a trusted supplier to the nuclear industry.”
The Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (Nuclear AMRC), based at the University of Sheffield and part of the UK’s High Value Manufacturing Catapult, collaborates with companies of all sizes to help them innovate and win work in the nuclear supply chain.
William Cook Cast Products joined the Nuclear AMRC in April 2022 to develop its capabilities for the nuclear sector and other low-carbon energy markets.
F4N status is valid for up to three years after the granting date.
