In 1883, William Cook started casting steel in Sheffield and has continued to do so ever since.
Today, the William Cook group is the UK’s largest producer of steel castings and can offer a wider range of moulding processes, steel specifications and casting weights – from a fraction of a kilogram to 12 tonnes – than any other manufacturer in Europe.
William Cook works closely with customers to optimize their casting designs for manufacture. We prefer to manufacture new patterns ourselves, to ensure complete compatibility with our moulding processes.
William Cook’s five foundries – on three sites – offer a comprehensive range of moulding processes. We can advise the most appropriate moulding process for a customer’s casting depending on its size, complexity, tolerance, surface finish and the quantity required.
